PAUL BUNYAN STATE TRAIL

We are conveniently located just off the Paul Bunyan State Trail in beautiful downtown Nisswa, Minnesota. Nisswa is the central hub of the 120-mile, multi-use recreational Paul Bunyan State Trail which runs from Crow Wing State Park south of Brainerd to Lake Bemidji State Park just north of Bemidji. Formerly a railroad line, the Paul Bunyan State Trail is the longest of Minnesota’s state trails and the longest continuously paved rail-trail in the country. The trail is one of the most popular trails in the state. Click below to view a full map of the Paul Bunyan State Trail.

GULL LAKE TRAIL

Work continues on a multi-use recreational trail around Gull Lake.  A 3.1-mile portion of the trail will connect the City of Lake Shore to the tunnel in downtown Nisswa via Lower Roy Lake Road and Hazelwood Drive.  Trail users can then find the Paul Bunyan State Trail downtown.  When finished, the Gull Lake Trail will be a 21-mile paved trail passing through four communities around Gull Lake.
